The first chainsaw with a magnesium piston
Thanks to the magnesium piston developed in-house by STIHL, the innovative STIHL MS 400 C-M petrol chainsaw offers a range of advantages for forestry professionals. Thanks to the reduced weight of the piston and the lightweight overall construction, this chainsaw has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.45 kg/kW.
But when it comes to felling, delimbing and processing wood in medium-density forests, we know it is not just power that is important. That’s why the advanced version of the STIHL MS 400 C-M chainsaw is equipped with STIHL M-Tronic to enable you to work efficiently. This version also allows for calibration of the system. STIHL ElastoStart supports you when you start your chainsaw, making start-up particularly easy, while the STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibrations to protect your muscles and joints. The STIHL MS 400 C-M petrol chainsaw features a long-life air filter system to ensure uninterrupted operation for as long as possible. This consists of a routing pre-separator and an HD2 filter.
